Rules & Regulations

1) SCHOOL UNIFORMS

All students must come to school in proper uniform on all working days.
The following uniform is prescribed for the entire student. Must attend school in proper uniform or disciplinary action will be taken against the defaulters.

SUMMER UNIFORMS

Girls

  • Tunic : Green Check terricot, Box Pleated, Side Seam Inner Pocket, (Length 1” below
    knee)

    Girls :     Class Nur to V Green Check Tunic
  • Shirt : Fawn Colour half sleeved shirt with or without pockets on the left but without any flap.
  • Socks : Green cotton or Nylon Socks with fawn Colour Stripes calf length.
  • Shoes : Black leather Gola shoes with black sole/black leather Bata ballerinas.
  • Tie & belt : school tie and belt

Boys

  • Trousers and Shorts : Green Check Terricot shorts approx 1.o” above upper edge of the knee.
  • Shirt : Fawn Colour Terricot half sleeved shirt with one upper pocket on the left without flap.
  • Shoes : Black leather Gola Shoes with black laces and black sole.
  • Socks : Green Cotton or Nylon Socks with Fawn colour stripes calf length.
  • Tie & belt : school tie and belt.

Parents are requested to ensure that the boys do not keep long hair. The girls are advised not to wear any coloured hair pins except black ones and not to wear any type of jewellery whatsoever, except very small studs or very small earrings. It would be appreciated if mothers make sure that the girls make use bloomers.

WINTER UNIFORMS

Girls

  • Divided skirts (VI to X)
  • Nur to V Trousers for girls and boys.
  • Shirt : Full sleeved Terricot (fawn colour shirt with green check border).
  • Jersey : Green V-neck Jersey with school logo.
  • Blazer : Green school Blazer (compulsory).
  • Shoes : Black leather Gola shoes with black laces and black sole.
  • Socks : Woollen green colour socks with Fawn colour stripes, without any design calf length.
  • Ties & Belt : School tie & belt.

Boys

  • Trousers : Grey worsted Trousers
  • Shirt : Full sleeved fawn colour terricot shirt with green check border.
  • Jersey/Blazer : Green V neck jersey green colour blazer with school logo.
  • Shoes : Black leather Gola shoes with black sole.
  • Socks : Woollen green colour socks with Fawn colour strips.
  • Ties & Belt : as prescribed by school.

Sports Winter Uniform (to be worn on Wednesday)

Navy blue track suit with house colour stripes. (Nur onwards)

Sports Uniform (to be worn on Wednesday & Saturday)

  • Girls : White tunic and school T- Shirts. Class Nur onwards
  • Socks : White Socks with house colour stripes (Class Nur onwards)
  • Shoes : White Gola Shoes
  • Boys : White short and House T-Shirt Class Nur onward
  • Socks : White Socks with house colour stripes (Class Nur onwards)

2) Houses

There are four houses

  1. Aravali houses  –  Colour Green
  2. Nilgiri house  –  Colour Blue
  3. Shivalik house  –  Colour red
  4. Himalaya house  –  Colour yellow

3) SCHOOL RULES

  1. The Personal memo in the diary should be completed and signed by parents/guardians.
  2. Students should be clean and neatly dressed. The School uniform is to be worn every day and for all the school functions.
  3. Non Sikh boys should get their hair cut at regular intervals.
  4. No shouting or whistling is allowed in the school building.
  5. Throwing bits of chalk or anything at any one or around is strictly forbidden.
  6. Students are expected to respect the property of others. This includes respect for school property. No student should damage things belonging to others. Damage done even by accident should be reported at once to the Class Teacher or to the In charge or the Principal. All damages to school property must be remedied at the cost of the offender.
  7. Students are advised to keep their class rooms/toilets/school building/campus as neat as possible and throw litter into the dustbins only.
  8. No books (other than text books or library books), magazines or money may be brought to the school without the Principal’s permission.
  9. The school is not responsible for goods lost. It is not advisable to bring valuable articles (like expensive watches or earrings, fountain pens) to school.
  10. Students should observe polite standards where so ever they go. They should always remember that the school is judged by their conduct. They should greet their teachers when they meet them.
  11. The school reserves the right to dismiss or to take strict disciplinary action against a student whose diligence or progress in studies is constantly unsatisfactory or conduct injurious to the tone of the school.
  12. Parents and guardians are not allowed to see their children or interview teacher during school hours without the permission of the Principal.
  13. Under normal circumstances, a child will not be allowed to return home during school hours.
    Leave for half day should be avoided for security reasons. Taking away your child from the class for a short period or for a medical check-up is not recommended.
  14. No student is permitted to leave the school premises without the permission of Principal which will be granted only on medical reasons.
  15. Students should get their Report Cards signed by their parents/guardians within five days of the receipt of the Report Cards.
  16. Students should maintain discipline and silence in classrooms.
  17. Be a good sportsman at all times, fair and honest at work and always be considerable of the rights of others.
  18. The pupils of Mother Teresa CB Sr. Sec. School are expected to behave in a disciplined manner on all occasions. If regular attendances, habited idleness, disobedience, in discipline are sufficient are reasons for the suspension/rustication of a pupil.

4) SCHOOL TIMING

  1. The School would have a 6 day’s week.
  2. The working hours of school are:-
    8:00 a.m. – 12:30 a.m. NUR, UKG
    7:45 a.m. – 01:45 p.m. 1st onward
    Winter 8:00 a.m. – 02.00 p.m. 1stonward.

5) MEDICAL CHECK-UP

  1. A medical check-up of all students would be conducted by the medical officer deputed by Cantonment Board.
  2. Follow-up Treatment, if any, would be the responsibility of the parents.

6) RECOMMENDATIONS TO PARENTS/GUARDIANS

  1. Check the haircut, uniform and punctuality of your ward.
  2. See that your ward carries books/exercise books according to the timetable for that day.
  3. Check his diary regularly for messages and complaints from teachers.
  4. Encourage your ward to take a balanced interest in studies, co-curricular activities and sports.
  5. Lunch should be properly packed so that the notebooks are not stained or spoiled. A napkin is always handy.
  6. Criticism of a teacher should be avoided in the presence of the child because it undermines his respect for the teacher and the school. If you have a legitimate complaint, please meet the Class Teacher/Principal.
  7. Whenever the parents come to school to drop their child or to meet the teacher, they are requested to come properly dressed.
  8. Make sure that you meet the Class Teacher on all Parent Teacher meetings. On all other days you can meet the Class Teacher only during visiting hours and with the permission of the receptionist.
  9. As far as possible (except for some very urgent reason) once your ward has come to school, do not come to collect him/her on half day or before the school ends.
  10. Only parents and not brothers, sisters, uncles, aunts or strangers should be sent to collect your ward or to collect report cards or meet Class Teacher.
  11. The School reserves the right to detain or deny promotion to a student whose performance continues to remain unsatisfactory.
  12. Principal’s Meeting Hours Strictly between 10:00 a.m. to- 12:00 a.m. Only Mondays, Wednesday and Fridays.
  13. All parents are requested to impart Health Education to their children so that they
    1. Maintain personal hygiene like trimming of nails and be neat and tidy.
    2. Exercise regularly.
    3. Sleep for at least eight hours daily.
    4. Take a balanced diet, rich all nutrients and lots of water which is either boiled or filtered.
    5. Avoid consumption of ice creams, other milk products and eatables from road side vendors.
  14. Pay prompt attention to the teacher’s note for a joint and unified effort for the betterment of your ward.

7) Withdrawal

  1. If a child has to be withdrawn from school rolls parents are requested to give one calendar month’s notice in writing, failing which one month’s fee will be charged in lieu thereof.
  2. Transfer Certificates for children withdrawn will not be issued until all dues are settled.
  3. Students can be asked to leave the school on the following grounds:-
    1. Disciplinary
    2. Unsatisfactory progress in work
    3. Detention
